In September 2015, we took our first family camping trip to Lake George. We stayed at the Adirondack Camping Village, which is a family owned campground and we absolutely love it there!
Lake George is about a two and a half hour trip for us and we were hopeful the boys would all sleep in the truck. Guess what? Not one of them slept. It was the first time Ben & Jack skipped a nap. I’m not gonna lie, it was a rough start to our first family vacation. Chris was seriously considering calling it quits and leaving the next day, but thankfully we did not!
We were hopeful this curtain trick would work to separate the twins, but it didn’t last more than an hour.
Here’s our camper all set up and the boys playing with their toys at the campsite:
We walked around the village and went for a ride on the Minnie Ha-Ha.
Chris and Carter hiked up to Prospect Mountain one afternoon while I spent the day with Benjamin and Jackson at Million Dollar Beach. The twins and I took the scenic drive up and met them for a picnic lunch at the top of the mountain.
We went back to Million Dollar Beach the next day so that Carter could play in the water too.
Despite our rocky start, it was a great trip in a great location. We have come to love Lake George and have made it one of our annual camping trips.
